It's A Really Bad Year....

Its been really long.....

I said I'd try to update here more often. Seems I stopped since the Maldives trip. Isn't a holiday supposed to refresh one's mind?! My life took a downturn after coming back from holiday. I'm experiencing the worst time of my life now.... I have no mood to do anything at all...

Feel like crying...

Feel like dying....

And suddenly I felt like coming here and pour my miseries... I'm very stressed out now. Too stressed and depressed to say anything more. Please let this be the worst and please let things get better.... Please.....

A Long Waited Getaway!

Back from MIA again! =X

I should be blogging with excitement now but I don't know why I am not exactly in a mood to do so... Still, I have to do it before I forget all the details because I just came back from MALDIVES!!!

Finally a holiday trip after very long! Quite a few times I wanted to blog about the planning for this trip... Lazy, lazy... Now, photos make things easier... Never had so many photos in my blog post before... Enjoy! =)

Flying off in SQ in the morning... It's my DSLR's virgin trip...

Arriving at Maldives after some 4hours plus... Male International Airport.. Mah leh!! Not male..

Taking the airport transfer to the seaplane base... Practise snapping...

At the balcony of Angsana private lounge at the seaplane base.
Very comfortable reception at the lounge. Free cold drinks and they make use of the time waiting for the seaplane to perform checkin to the resort. Took a photo of us so that the staffs at the resort would recognise us the moment we reach there.

Finally got somebody help take photos of me... Not very pro but can't complain.. =X

Seaplane taking off.. Another 45minutes journey...

View from the seaplane...

Another view from the seaplane...

A video of view from seaplane and its interior.
It was quite stuffy under the hot sun in the seaplane. Don't think there was aircon inside but only fans. It got a little better when the temperature cooled after the seaplane ascend to the sky after a while. The engines were noisy but bearable for me. Views of the atolls and ocean were beautiful.

Finally that's our resort!! A lagoon seperates the main island, on the left, from the InOcean Villas on the right.

Seaplane landed somewhere in the lagoon on a small floating platform. That's the InOcean Villas where we stayed!

Very sunny...

InOcean Villas!! Totally InOcean because no beach!!

The color of the ocean!! OMG!!
It was a 2 minutes ride on the speedboat from the seaplane landing platform to the InOcean Villa. Checkin was done earlier at the lounge, so a buggy was already waiting for us at the jetty of the InOcean Villa. Drove us to our villa very promptly. They switched on all 3 aircons in the villa prior to our arrival and also have a CD playing some relaxing music, so we reached our villa feeling very refreshed and relaxed after the long journey.

The InOcean Villas corridoor...

Bed and fan...

Very big tub and its facing the beautiful sea!!

A short video of the room and our private deck.

A hammock...

Well secured...

Hammock over the ocean!

A daybed and private pool with an ocean view!!

View at the end of the pool...
My DSLR lens not wide enough to capture the beauty of the room, deck and scenary. It was really beautiful. So beautiful that I tried to do a stupid stunt by diving into the bed the first thing we stepped into the room. I sprained my neck... Zzz...

Some idiot...

Some koala...

Going to snorkel~

One of the crappy videos from snorkeling...

Visitors...

Act pro...

Act pro but not really pro... Slanted.. Zzz..

Took many shots still slanted... Gave up.. Zzz...

The Azzurro Restaurant & Bar at the InOcean Villas...

One of his good shots.. Made better with my editing..

The frontdesk with sunset behind...

The villas with back facing sunset.. Our's was facing sunset... More privacy unlike these...

The deck and pool lit up when the sun set...

All villas have roof access with deck chairs and sofa...

Sun gone...
We didn't take dinner on the first night. Reached there in the hot noon after many hours of flight and jetlagged. Test the private pool, practice snorkelling and explored the place. Later attended a short welcome drink party at the bar in the evening which we dozed off after that while deciding what to eat. Sleep will forget about hungry... Save some money.. Lol..

First morning... Sun rising..

Early in the morning camwhore!

Woohoo~

Breakfast buffet...

Hot sun.. Cold water... Windy~

Suntan or sleep?!

Weeeee~

Copycat!

Jetty at the InOcean Villa... There's boat transfer to and fro the main island every hour...

Faster shoot lah... My eyes can't open...

His anyhow snap... On the way to check out the main island...

Wedding hall... Actually... I think it's not very practical for the normal people to hold wedding there. How can all the guests afford to go there?! Kaoz!! And the weather is so damn hot!!!

Copycat again!

His anyhow snap...

His anyhow snap again...

His anyhow snap and again... The Kuredi Bar at the main island...
This is where we nua and nua upon reaching the main island. It's only about 5 minutes boat ride from the InOcean Villas, but really buay tahan the hot sun!! The refraction of sunlight from the open beach was too painful for my eyes!!

Even my drink also sweat!!

Nua-ing inside the bar.. Sand filled floor...

He camwhore~

Not easy to find a tree to pose like this... Cannot miss!

His pose so unnatural... He scared fall down!!

Some ugly looking mermaid sculpture on the boat...

His anyhow snap...

His anyhow snap... He very proud of this photo... -_-"

2nd night's dinner... Forgot what's this.. Probably complimentary...

2nd night's dinner... Some smoked salmon roll with sour cream...

2nd night's dinner... Rack of veal...

2nd night's dinner... dessert...
There's also a soup which I didn't shoot. All these supposed to be the 4 course set dinner that is included in meal packages. We didn't pay for the meal packages before booking, so we paid 80usd for this meal. That's per person! Not worth!! Zzz...

View of the InOcean Villas at night... Total darkness everywhere else...

Hammock at night... Cooling to sleep in...

Corridoor at night... Its actually dimmer than this...

Walkway to the frontdesk...

I purposely show this photo larger to make sure you see the stars!!

Funboat ride... 60usd...

It was bumpy and wet!!
It was supposed to be a fun ride, but quite a torture for my sprained neck. The driver made it easier for my neck with less stunts. Probably missed out a lot of fun, but still quite exciting.

Cloudy... Rained a little before the last night...

Room service on the last night...

Tenderloin steak...

Lamb rack...
And also a tiramisu. All for 90 usd and that's enough to fill our stomach in the comfort of our own villa. No need for the 80 usd per pax of set dinner...

Housefly!!!

View of the main island from InOcean Villas...

Checked out on the last day.. Had massage and hang around for more photos...

Walkway to the frontdesk and jetty...

Main island jetty walkway to the frontdesk lobby...

Jetty at main island...

Rain covered main island...

Rain stopped shortly... Sunshine again!!

The seaplane parked in the middle of lagoon... Waited for us since morning...

Byebye InOcean Villas...

Had a short city tour in Male... Saw Tom & Jerry.. Coincidentally on a 1212 lorry!

Nothing much to see in the city... Anyhow snap some photos...

Photo by Mr Pro cameraman.. Zzz...
The stay was really a luxurious and relaxing experience. Comparing the InOcean Villas with those Beach Villas on the main island, I'm glad that I made the right choice. Before going I was already expecting the InOcean Villa to be fantastic, but seeing the real thing is even more spectacular. Its much more expensive but definitely worth it.

I strongly recommend anyone who is going Maldives to stay in a villa similar as mine. Don't bother to stay in the normal villas, it will be as good as just going to Redang or Phuket. I mean... If you have to get out of your villa to reach the pool, walk out to the beach for snorkeling or to enjoy the ocean, what's the point of spending so much money and travel all the way to Maldives? Some of the Beach Villa has its private pool but its normally built at the backyard of the villa which you don't get any view. Its totally different when you can swim in the pool and enjoy the ocean at the same time.

The only place not so convenient for us was getting to the sandy beach. There's nothing much to do at the beach other than camwhoring. Its hot and very glaring at the beach that we took cover and chilled inside the bar. So I think not staying near the beach is really no big deal. I can swim in my private pool with ocean view, snorkel right from my villa, sit at my balcony and enjoy sunset and 24hours sea breeze while using my laptop!! All conveniently inside the villa!! I recommend anyone to experience the InOcean Villa!! =)

P.S. stupid blogger rollback!! I had to re-edit this post.. Zzz...
