Woot! Haven't had something different to eat for quite a long time! Ashley recommended this place at Valley Point for fine modern Japanese food. Note that it's Ashley, not Ashlie! Haha! Ashley is Xta's cousin. Anyway, went to check out the place last night.

At the waiting area...

They were kind enough to let us in because we were there almost closing time. They even arranged a private room for us to dine in!! Heee... They serve a 7 course meal for dinner - starter, cold dish, side dish, soup, main, dessert and drinks. They serve somewhat like a degustation menu but you get to choose from a few choices for each course except for the starter which is a chef's seasonal assorted platter.

Complimentary lime sorbet to clear your buds! Not butt!!

Our soup: Crab bisque cupacino style. Drink it like coffee!! It's all foam!

Did all the photo borders with Photoscape. Hehe... Coming home last night, Ah Gu greeted me downstairs. Ah Gu is sooo cute!! His name came from his patches and he knows his name when I call him!!

He always wait for me outside the shop while I buy ciggy.

Quite some time ago I saw these photos from someone's blog.

I like the grains and scratch effects on the photos that produce the vintage look. And the brushed, jagged border of the 3rd photo. I wanted to have my photos appear that way! Even sent a message asking the owner of those photos where to get the exact brushes that she used. I didn't get a reply though. So, I did it my own way...

If you still remember these photos. They were from Batam.

Anyway, thanks to Oreos!! She showed me a freeware for editing photos - Photoscape. It's very simple to use. Best of all, it has a lot of ready made effects and filters!! AND!! I realise those photos that I found are actually edited with Photoscape!! Exactly the same effects! Haha!!

Although I don't see myself switching from Photoshop to Photoscape, but its good to make use of the ready effects once a while. Afterall, I can have more control over editing with Photoshop and I am beginning to learn RAW. But one thing... Isn't that means I'm smarter?!! Because my photos above... I did with Photoshop!!! Muahaha!

Good Week Bad Mood

In fact I don't even need to draft anything here because the title says it all. I don't really have other things to blog about. But to fill up this post a little more, I shall try to elaborate more....

Good week means... WIN ALOT LAH!! =D

I enjoy browsing in bookstores. I'm NOT cheapskate!! I will buy the books that I like. I'm NOT bookworm either!! I buy most of my books to keep for reference.

For this reason, I bought more books on photography. Hehe... Just began a few pages on volume 1 of Scott Kelbey's boxed set. Looks interesting for a start. Pretty straight forward.

Hope this good week has injected some motivation in me to really learn how to use my camera. And the laundry, the vacuumimg, the cleaning, the tidying, the bla bla bla bla...... =S

Sentosa Again And Again And Again!!

Xta called for camwhore while on her way to church on Sunday. I got Oreos to join us since she just bought a DSLR too. We ended up in Sentosa without Xta. Her reasons... Rehearsal delayed, not in the right attire, too late to join... Kaoz...

Can't stop admiring this photo. Hehe... First try with editing RAW then adding a different effect. Didn't really take lots of photos. Was there at the beach trying to learn about metering and getting the correct exposure. Then of course... Went on the luge!! 3 times!!

Then another 3 times on Monday!! With Hanzi!! Haha!! I don't think anyone would get sick of luge! It's really fun!! He loves it except for the Skyride. Alamak! He's got height phobia. Zzz...

For the last few days I have not been sleeping at "regular" hours. I slept at night and woke up in the morning. Haha.. Anyway, now back to "normal". =X

Bought a few books and magazines on photography and digital darkroom as reference. Will blog down my notes and learnings here. =)

Hmmm.....

I woke up all full of spirit this morning despite being pissed by him. Left him a few SMS fucking him and resume to maintain my energetic mood. Not until he woke up and replied me say that "she" saw my messages!!

Sounds like disaster for him and totally switched my mood. To be honest, it's really none of my business. I'm not being unsympathetic, there's really nothing I can do. But still, my mood went down. I was anxious to know what happened next because he wasn't able to update me.

Anyway it was 有惊无险. She just confronted him a little and he brushed off with some crappy answers. Afterall, what can she do? Murder us? Get mad and scream won't do any better. She just gave a warning for him to watch out. Ha! And it was all because of the idiot himself forgotten to switch off his phone before going to bed. Then his indiscipline son took a peep into his phone and show mommy someone is fucking daddy. Well...

Tried to spend the day studying about using my camera. After so long, I haven't really know how to use my camera. Almost everytime I just use it like a normal camera and then photoshop to make it nicer. What a waste! Just look at these...

Look at how beautiful they are. What I want to pick up is trying to get the right exposure and capturing the right moment then twitch with photoshop. The colors are so brilliant and the lightings so nice. Just oridinary natural shots can be so interesting. I want to do this too~

Sentosa Again!

As a Singaporean, how often do you go to the Sentosa? I'm there last week with Nicholas. Not having felt enough like a tourist, I was there again yesterday with Tri for photoshooting session. =Þ
