Post No.152

Didn't sleep from Friday 4PM till yesterday evening... I wanted to update my blog before my materials get outdated which I normally put them away. In the end I drafted this post halfway and fell asleep! Now awake at some odd hours again...

Again, I had a pissful morning yesterday. Same lame idiotic shits! Anyway I've gotten* over it by now...

*A little sidetrack - as I was typing, I thought I was wrong to use the word "gotten". Is there really such a word? I even did a search on the net. lol...

It was oh-so-kind-&-lovely of him (my foot! I kpkb him for 20minutes) to give up Singapore night race and bring me out for dinner on a Friday night... xD

Went to this Japanese restaurant at Robertson Quay which I don't even know the name. Oh! The receipt says Shunjuu... Been there once with Vincent.. Went back again because they've got foie gras!! Brought my new toys along to show him.

Did a demo to him before food was served...

Wah not bad! First time hold a DSLR to snap a photo with no flash and LOW shutter speed... He eats alot 猪脚.. I didn't know can 补手不会抖! LOL...

I didn't bother to take pictures for food! Dun have skill to snap nice shots on food yet.. Anyway.. Good food is for MAKAN, not for TENGOK! BUT... I did try to snap something...

We actually had sashimi for starters. The waitress recommended tuna belly and dunno what snapper. I felt being robert or you might think we are just stupid. I've seen, bought, ate, touch, smell, shit toro before... BUT I really didn't know toro is tuna belly!!! Zzz... And I've ate at other places that serve raw tuna belly with rice which didn't taste like toro!

As I was enjoying the "tuna belly", I even told Pig that it tasted like toro. Till I saw the printed bill and confirmed it was actually TORO! -.-" We had 皮蛋豆腐 as well... Blended century egg yolk covered the tofu... Presentation might seems a bit yucky to some people given the colour of the yolk.. LOL.. Taste quite nice though.. But I didn't really enjoy it because I was drinking coke... If you don't get what I mean.. Try eating century egg (especially the yolk) and then drink coke... You'll get this funny bitterness on your tastebuds...

Thanks to the platter of sashimi which cost $89!! Four slices of toro for $48, a few slices of snapper for $26 and salmon for $15. Honestly, I think the toro were priced reasonable, just that I got the feeling of getting conned to order their expensive dishes. Not too sure about the snapper but I think the salmon was really overpriced. They seems to overprice some cheaper items. The foie gras was very worth! One order for $13 which came in two skewers with generous portions. I would prefer panfried foie gras but they have it under their charcoal grill menu.

After dinner, we went for a stroll along the river and Pig wants to help me shoot some photos of me. I think I praised him too early just now... Most of the pictures came out BUAY SAI KUA (cmi) one!! =X

Still haven't finish knitting the pouchies.... Xta invited me to go try on the new toys yesterday... I checked on the weather forecast and told her there would be rain.. OMG! The bloody forecast scam me!! LOL.. It was sunny for the whole noon.. Zzz...

Now feeling nausea again... I suspect I'm suffering from anemia... Or maybe because I haven't ate since the foie gras... Nvm... Go back to bed...
